How To Pay Babcock University School Fees 2023/2024
Babcock University School Fees can be paid Online through the use of Master Card/Debit and Offline into the university designated banks. The payment method was formally only through the physical means until the new and improved method was adopted by the management of the institution.
This new platform allows students to make school fees payment using their debit/credit card from wherever they are with maximum comfort. Students can choose to use this method or physically go to the bank to make their school fees payment byloading their Etranzact card as they normally do. This applies to all undergraduates and postgraduates.
STEP-BY-STEP PAYMENT OF BABCOCK UNIVERSITY SCHOOL FEES USING MASTER CARD/DEBIT CARD
- Login to your portal
- Commence registration and select hostel, meal, worship center, and courses
- Click on your current charges page to see your Semester Fees and the Fees to pay
- Scroll down your current charges page to see a green colored Arrow Button> Go
- Click on the arrow button to open another window
- On this new window, click on the Make Payment Button on the dashboard
- An Etranzact logo and Webconnet Logo will be displayed
- Click on the Webconnect Logo
- A window is opened displaying the following:
- Request for your Master Card/Debit Card information on the right side of the window
- The amount you are expected to pay and the related charges on the left side of the window
- Supply your Master Card and Debit Card details to the system as requested and click on pay
- An OTP will be sent to the card holder’s phone
- Supply the OTP to the system and click on pay. At this time the payment is done
- Go back to your Current Charges page to check your payment. If the payment is successful, it appears on your current charges page as student’s payment
- If successful, click, on the green button again and then click on Request for Financial Approval. This process will turn your , which by default reads “No”, before the process begins, to “Yes”
Wait for between 15 to 30 minutes (if it is during working hours) to receive financial approval. If not working hours, it may be more than 30 minutes, but not more than 24 hours. If after 24 hours you received no financial approval and your current charges window has cleared, then you may need to select your meal and hostel again - Once you obtain financial approval, then print your online receipt and submit your courses online for approval by Course Advisor and School Officer
- Once you obtain this, then print out your course form and present for signature by Course Advisor and Departmental HOD and keep your copies
- If your payment fails i.e. it does not appear on your current charges page after payment, kindly escalate the situation to the Bursary for solution.
Note: In step 6, if the window goes blank after clicking on ‘Make Payment, then do the following to reactivate the page:
i. Click on the ‘New button on the dashboard of the blank page
ii. A window is opened requesting amount and purpose
iii. Type in the amount you want to pay and describe purpose as School Fees
iv. Click on save.
This process refreshes the page and brings you back to step 9. Then continue with other steps as described.
Babcock University Financial Aids and Scholarship
Babcock University seeks out financial aids opportunities for qualified students. These are in forms of full and partial scholarship awards. The following available schemes and conditions currently exist.
1. ADOPT -A – STUDENTS SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME:
This scholarship is awarded on the basis of proven needs:
Eligibility Criteria
- Letter of application (Completed Adopt-A-Student Form)
- A minimum of 3.0 CGPA
- Evidence of ability to pay the balance beyond the scholarship fund
- Documentation of Work-Study (Current Work Study)
2. PCF EDUCATION ENDOWMENT FUND
This is available for students who have lost either of the parents or their major sponsor while already a Babcock student.
Condition/Requirements:
- Completion of PCF Endowment Form which includes:
- Name of Student
- Course of Study
- Year of Study
- Name of Sponsor
- Relationship of Sponsor to the student
- Employment details of the sponsor (such as place of employment, Position, full address of employer etc)
- Residential address of sponsor
- Home town address of sponsor
- Signature of student and date
- Bursary clearance for last semester
- Bill for the academic session
- Copy of student ID card
- The student must already be a student at Babcock at the time of death of parent or sponsor.
- Beneficiary must have paid Consultative Forum Fees throughout the years
- Beneficiary must have paid Consultative Forum Endowment Funds up to the time of sponsor’s death.
- There must be a death certificate of the sponsor from a qualified medical doctor
- The Parents’ Consultative Forum must have been informed when the death occurred.
- During a Parents’ Consultative Forum (PCF) meeting, the scholarship is approved and remitted directly to Babcock University.
3. SPRINGTIME DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION (SDF)
This scholarship is solely sponsored by the Springtime Development Foundation
Conditions:
- Beneficiary must be an Adventist
- Application letter, which is addressed directly to SDF
- Evidence of need
- Recommendation from the local church pastor
Award is made once every new school year.
4. STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICE’S NEEDY STUDENTS’ FUND
This is based on need. The selection is done by the University Scholarship Committee
- An application letter
- Evidence of ability to pay balance beyond the scholarship fund
- Evidence of documentation of work study
5. ILISHAN INDIGENES SCHOLARSHIP
This covers only tuition fees.
Eligibility
- The genealogy of the applicant must be traceable to Ilishan – Remo, Ogun State
- The applicant shall be a bonifide student of Babcock University and must have spent at least one year of study at Babcock University.
- Students with disciplinary cases pending and/or with academic probation shall not be eligible
- Students with citizenship grade less than ‘C’ need not apply.
Selection Procedure
- There shall be local advertisements sometime May/June of every school year conspicuously displayed at strategic locations on the University campus and Ilishan town
- All eligible applicants shall be expected to obtain and fill the prescribed forms which shall be available at Babcock University. Completed application forms shall be returned to Babcock University.
- All completed application forms received by BU shall be passed to Ilishan Education Committee, a sub-committee of Ilishan Development Committee for vetting and authenticating the veracity of the genealogy.
- After the input of the Ilishan Development Committee (IDC), the forms shall be analyzed by Babcock University and the results therefore shall be sent to IDC before releasing same to the public.
- Any recipient who fails to measure up academically and morally shall forfeit the right to continue to enjoy the scholarship and shall not be eligbie to reapply until such student is cleared by an appropriate authority of the University. When this happens the student shall compete like any other who is applying for the first time.
