PLASU Admission Requirements

To get admission into Plateau State University (PLASU), you are expected to possess the following necessary requirements:

Faculty of Management Sciences

For NBC holders, the other two (2) relevant subjects could be from any of Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Office Practice and Secretarial Duties.Mathematics, Economics plus any Social Science subject. Two (2) ‘A’ level passes chosen from Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government and Geography.PLASU accepts  a)    degree in any programme provided the candidate meets the ‘O’ level requirements  b)    HND lower credit in relevant programmes with ‘O’ level requirements.  c)     ND lower credit in relevant programmes with ‘O’ level requirements.  d)    IJMB minimum of 7 points with passes in relevant subjects, with ‘O’ level requirement.PLASU does not accept University Diplomas and other Diplomas not accredited by the relevant accrediting bodies.
2B.Sc. Management StudiesFive (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, plus any two (2) of Accounting, Business Methods,Commerce, Government, Geography, and Statistics.Two (2) ‘A’ level passes chosen from Economics, Accounts, BusinessManagement, Government, Geography or Statistics. Two (2) ‘A’ level passes chosen fromAccounting, Economics, Management,Mathematics, Geography and Statistics. PLASU accepts  a)    Degree in any programme provided the candidate meets the ‘O’ level requirements.  b)    HND lower credit in relevant programmes, with the ‘O’ level requirements,  c)     ND lower credit in relevant programmes, with the ‘O’ level requirements.  d)    IJMB minimum of seven (7) points with passes in relevant subjects, with the ‘O’ level requirement.PLASU does not accept university diplomas and other diplomas not accredited by the relevant accrediting bodies.

2B.A Theater ArtsFive (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language and Arts subjects.Literature in English and two (2) other relevant subjects. Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Arts, Social Sciences or Science subjects. PLASU accepts  a)    Degree in any programme provided the candidate meets ‘the UTME requirements.  b)    HND lower credit in relevant programme, with the UTME requirements,  c)     ND lower credit in relevant programme, with the UTME requirements.IJMB seven (7) points in relevant subjects alongside the UTME requirements.
3B.A History and International StudiesFive (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Geography, Government/History.History/Government and any othertwo (2) subjects from Arts and SocialSciences.Two (2) ‘A’ level passes/NCE (upper credit) in History/Government and any other related subject.PLASU accepts  a)    Degree in any field provided the candidate meets UTME requirements  b)    HND lower credit in relevant programme, with UTME requirements,  c)     ND lower credit in relevant programme, with UTME requirements.IJMB seven (7) points in relevant subjects, with UTME requirements.

NOTE: Faculty of Arts accept Pass in Mathematics

Faculty of Social Sciences

GeographyFive (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Geography, and any three (3) from Arts or Social Science subjects with at least a pass in Mathematics.Geography and two (2) other Artsor Social Science subjects.   Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Geography and any one (1) of Economics,      Government, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics
