Facts About FUNAAB Admission for Undergraduate Programmes
Before you can start making plan on how to get admission into the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB), there are some facts that you have to be aware of.
These facts are all about whether you possess the necessary requirements or not. Here, I will give you some of the general admission rules guiding the institution.
The general FUNAAB admission rules include the following:
- The applicant must not be less than 16 years old at the time the application for FUNAAB admission.
- The candidate must possess at least five (5) credits passes including English language and Mathematics in O’ level and must not be more than two (2) sittings.
- Candidates may get admitted into the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) either through UTME or the Direct Entry Procedure.
- Any candidate who wishes to be admitted through UTME procedure must register and participate in JAMB examination.
- The candidate must get the required cut-off mark (not less than 160) in the UTME/JAMB.
- Both UTME and Direct Entry candidates must choose the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) as their most preferred institution in JAMB.
- Direct Entry candidates must have graduated with minimum upper credit or its equivalent.
- Direct Entry candidates are also expected to submit their transcript (OND/HND/NCE candidates) or Certified True Copy of Statement of Results duly stamped by Director/HOD of the institution graduated from (A’level candidates) to the Registrar, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta not later than any stated date.

Candidate should have at least two ‘A’ level credit passes chosen from Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology.
UTME
Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology
UTME Subjects Combination
English language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics
Special Considerations
DIRECT ENTRY:
FUNAAB accepts:
(a) ND (Upper Credit) in Analytical and Industrial Chemistry, Science Laboratory Technology or related fields.
(b) NCE (Credit) in Biology or Chemistry.
(c) Two A’ level credit passes in Chemistry, Biology/Botany/ Zoology, Physics and Mathematics.

(a) Two ‘A’ level credit in Chemistry and one of Zoology/Botany/Agricultural Science, Biology, Mathematics/Physics
(b) HND/OND in Agriculture obtained at upper credit level from a recognized institution.
(c) NCE in Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry or Physics (minimum of credit) plus UTME requirement.
UTME: FUNAAB requires: a) Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. b) Candidates with pass grade in Biology must possess credit pass in Agricultural Science. It does not accept Agricultural Science in lieu of Biology.
UTME SUBJECT: (i) FUNAAB does not accept Economics or Geography.

(c) NCE in Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry or Physics (credit) plus UTME requirements.
UTME: Candidates with pass grade in Biology must possess credit pass in Agricultural Science. It does not accept Agricultural Science in lieu of Biology
UTME SUBJECT: FUNAAB does not accept Economics or Geography.

Five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Biology Science, Physics and Mathematics

Special Consideration
Direct Entry:
FUNAAB accepts upper credit in NCE, OND and HND in related programmes into 200 & 300L respectively but candidates must possess UTME requirements.
UTME: Candidates with pass grade in Biology must possess credit pass in Agricultural Science. It does not accept Agricultural Science in lieu of Biology.
UTME SUBJECT: FUNAAB does not accept Economics or Geography.
WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT AND AGROMETEROROLOGY
Direct Entry Requirements
Two ‘A‘ level credit passes in Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.
UTME Requirements
Five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Biology Science, Physics and Mathematics
UTME Subjects
English Language, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry
Special Considerations
DIRECT ENTRY:
FUNAAB accepts ND/NCE or HND in Agriculture, Meteorology or other related programme into 200 and 300 levels respectively.
UTME: FUNAAB requires credit passes in Geography

HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT
Direct Entry Requirements
Two ‘A’ level credit passes or equivalents in Chemistry and Biology/Botany/Physics/ Mathematics
UTME Requirements
Five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Biology Science, Physics and Mathematics
UTME Subjects

Special Consideration
DIRECT ENTRY:
FUNAAB accepts ND (minimum of upper credit) and NCE (minimum of Credit) in Hospitality and Tourism, Catering Management, Hotel Management, Home Economics from a recognized Institution in addition to UTME requirements

NUTRITION AND DIETETICS
UTME Requirements
Five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Biology Science, Physics and Mathematics
Special Considerations
DIRECT ENTRY:
FUNAAB accepts:
(a) Two ‘A’ level credit passes in Chemistry, Biology or Physics
(b) NCE or ND (Upper Credit) in Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Science, Home Economics from a recognized institution plus UTME entry requirements into 200 level.
(c) Certificate of Registered Nurse of Nigeria plus UTME requirement.
UTME: FUNAAB does not accept Agricultural Science in lieu of Biology
