UNIPORT Admission Requirements for 2022/2023 Academic Session
Having seen the lists of the undergraduate courses that are offered in the University of Port-Harcourt (UNIPORT), I want to show you what it takes to be admitted in the University of Port-Harcourt (UNIPORT), that is, the admission requirements.
You should be aware that you can be offered admission into the University of Port-Harcourt (UNIPORT) through two procedures; through UTME/JAMB and through Direct Entry (DE). In the section below, I will be showing the entry requirements for both procedures.
UNIPORT Admission Requirements For UTME Candidates
Candidates who are seeking admission into the University of Port-Harcourt (UNIPORT) through UTME/JAMB are expected to meet the following requirements before they could be considered for admission into the institution.
- Candidate should not be less than 16 years old at the time of the application
- The candidate must have at least five credits passes in Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) and must not be more than two sittings.
- You must choose the correct JAMB subject combination for your course.
- Candidates must score at least 150 in the just concluded JAMB UTME examination to be offered admission into the University of Port-Harcourt (UNIPORT.
- UNIPORT Must be your First Choice of Institution.
- You Must Participate in UNIPORT POST UTME/SCREENING to be considered for admission if any for the year.
UNIPORT Admission Requirements For Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
Direct Entry candidates are those who will be given admission to study in their chosen professions as from 200 level. Although they are going to start at second year, they will still offer some of the year one courses while some will be waivered for them.
To get admitted into the University of Port-Harcourt (UNIPORT) through the Direct Entry procedure, candidates must be meet the O’ level requirement and any of the qualifications given in 2-6 below:
- The candidate must have at least five credits passes in Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) and must not be more than two sittings.
- Candidates must have ‘A’ level/IJMB passes in two subjects that are related to their area of study.
- JUPEB/A’ Level passes in Related subjects.
- A bachelor degree certificate in any of the related field that you have chosen.
- Direct entry candidates are required to purchase the UNIPORT Direct Entry form through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) And UNIPORT Portal.
- NCE/ND/HND/Diploma in any related field can be accepted.
