Department of Accounting
- Five credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and Accounting or Economics at ‘O’ level and any other two relevant subjects are required by UTME & DE.
- Candidates must score the minimum points in the UTME in the following subjects: Principles of Accounting or Economics, English, Maths and any other subject.
- DE requirement: IJMB A-Level in Accounting/Economics and any other two subjects. OND in Accounting, Business Administration, Banking and Finance or other relevant courses.
Department of Political Science
- Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics, Government, and two other Arts or Social Science subjects.
- UTME candidates must score the minimum points in the following subjects: English, Government and any other two Arts and Social Science subjects.
- Direct Entry requirement: Two “A” level credit passes in Arts and/or Social Science subjects. Credit passes in NCE and Diploma related discipline.
Department of Sociology
- Five credit passes at SSCE including English Language, Government and two other Arts or Social Science subjects and at least a pass in Mathematics.
- UTME candidates must score the minimum points in the following subjects: English, Government and two other Arts or Social Science subjects.
- DE candidates must have two ‘A’ Level credit passes in Arts and Social Sciences subjects. Credit pas in Diploma in Social Work. At least a pass in Mathematics at O’Level is required.
Department of Economics
- Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics, and any other subjects.
- Candidates must score the minimum points in the UTME in the following subjects: English, Maths, Economics and any other subject.
- Direct Entry requirement: Two “A” level credit passes in Economics and any of Science, Social Science, Management subjects or History/Government. NCE or ND with credit passes in relevant subject. A merit is required for NCE, 6 points for IJMB or GCE A-Level, and lower credit for OND.
In addition to the requirements above, candidate shall have attained a minimum score of post U.T.M.E examination organised by the Federal University Gusau.

FUGUS Course Registration 2022/2023 Academic Session
Students of the Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) are hereby informed that courses registration for 2021/2022 Session will be closed on 31st December 2022. Students with registration issues can forward them to The Office of The Director, ICT before the closure as no complaint will be entertained after registration is closed.
