This invitation for the application of the Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) is for those who wrote the 2022 JAMB examination, made AKSU their first choice institution and have scored 140 or above in the examination. AKSU UTME/DE Admission Requirements

Admission requirements through Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
1. Minimum of Credit passes in Five (5) subjects including English Language at SSCE, GCE O’Level and any other equivalent examinations.
2. UTME scores of at least 140 and above (subject to change).
3. Post-UTME screening score of not less than 180 (subject to change).
4. In addition to the above, candidates must make Akwa Ibom State University 1st choice to qualify to write the Post-UTME Screening Test.
5. Candidates who score less than 140 at the Post-UTME screening test are not eligible for admission into any programme in AKSU irrespective of any higher scores obtained at UTME.
6. For final selection into programmes, the candidate’s average scores from the UTME and Post-UTME screening Tests are used.
The cut-off point for admission varies from one programmed to another.

Admission through Direct Entry

1. Minimum of credit passes in five subjects including English Language at SSCE, GCE O’Level or equivalent qualification.
2. Either A’ levels, OND or NCE in relevant subject areas.
3. An acceptable score in the Direct Entry Screening Exercise.
4. Final selection is based on a combination of the candidate’s certificates and score in the direct entry screening test.

Registration Period

The AKSU Supplementary Post-UTME Registration starts on Monday, 12th December, 2022 and Closes on Friday, 30th December, 2022. Any candidate who fails to complete his/her registration within this given period will not be considered for admission into any programme in Akwa Ibom State University.

Cost of AKSU Supplementary Post UTME Form

Applicants of the AKSU Supplementary Post UTME are expected to buy the form at the cost Two Thousand Naira (N2000) Only. This is excluding the cost of processing the form and every other registration processes.

How to Register for AKSU Supplementary Post-UTME

The registration of the Akwa Ibom State University Post-UTME for 2022/2023 academic session can be done online via the university portal. If you are interested in the registration and you looking for the easiest procedure, kindly follow the step by step guideline given below:

  1. Visit: https://aksu.edu.ng/app/
  2. Click ‘Start Now’
  3. Click ‘Enroll’.
  4. Enter your Jamb Registration Number and click Next.
  5. Proceed to make payment of NGN 2000.00 registration fee (excluding bank charges).
    Note: Payment can be made via Debit card or Bank Deposit Nationwide. If payment is made at the bank, repeat steps 1-3 then continue with registration.
  6. Click to upload your passport-sized photograph (passport must be between 20kB and 50kB) and click Next.
  7. Enter your O-level result details (School Name, Exams Year, Exam Type, Exam batch (Internal/External) and grades for each subject)
    Note: Awaiting results candidates are to select the awaiting result option from the exam type drop down and leave the o-level details fields empty.
  8. After Entering the O-level result details click Next.
  9. Upload the Scanned copies of your documents (Certificate of Origin, Original Jamb Result, O-level Result, Certificate of medical fitness,2022 JAMB DE printout(for DE only) ) in jpg format with a minimum size of 120kB and maximum of 150kB.
  10. Preview the details entered to ensure it is correct.
  11. After confirmation, click the ‘Finish’ button to generate the registration confirmation slip.

NOTE:

  • Candidates who do not register for the Post-UTME screening exercise would not be considered for admission.
  • Applicants who did NOT choose AKSU or change to AKSU as their University of First Choice in the 2022 UTME or Direct Entry are NOT eligible for this exercise.
  • On filling the application form, each applicant should endeavour to use his/her own phone number and valid e-mail address in order to receive timely alerts, messages and directives. Do not use those of a cyber café operator or any other third party.
  • Misrepresentation/falsification of documents is a serious offence. Candidates are, therefore, advised to submit genuine documents only.
  • No candidate with awaiting result will be offered admission in AKSU. Kindly upload your O’level results in AKSU and JAMB portals.
  • Early commencement of registration is advised to avoid congestion close to deadline.
  • AKSU portal for registration of candidates for the screening exercise will be closed on Friday, 30th December, 2022.
  • Candidates are strongly advised to adhere strictly to the guidelines stipulated above for successful completion of the online submissions.

UPLOADING OF O’LEVEL RESULTS:

  • All candidates are to upload their SSCE results online through the University’s website (www.aksu.edu.ng/portal)
  • Candidates are advised to ensure that their O’level results are also uploaded in JAMB Portal, appropriately.
  • All uploaded documents must be clear and legible. Blurred or unclear documents will lead to automatic disqualification.
  • Any candidate who fails to upload his/her results and other relevant academic qualification (original) will NOT be considered for admission by the University.

Requirements for 2022/2023 AKSU Supplementary Admission

  1. 2022 UTME Result slip showing candidate’s photograph in colour.
  2. 2022 JAMB DE printout (Direct Entry applicants only).
  3. WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Certificate/Result and Scratch Card(s) details as may be applicable.
  4. Diploma, NCE or A-level result or certificate (Direct Entry applicants only)
  5. Birth Certificate
  6. Certificate of origin.
  7. Certificate of Medical Fitness from approved Government Hospital.
