FUAM Pre-Degree Requirements
General Information
The pre-degree programme is a one-year intensive full-time programme in which students with the minimum academic qualifications for entry into University but are yet to be admitted for a University education are given a combination of lectures and tutorials, aimed at redressing their academic defects.
At the successful completion of the programme, students may be absorbed directly into the 100 level of the existing degree courses/programmes of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi.
The programme is domiciled in the College of Science, and is supervised and coordinated by a Head of Department who is appointed by the Vice-Chancellor.
Administration
The Departmental Board which is made up of all Academic Staff participating on the programme, with Head of Department as chairman, decides on all matters concerning the Department. Where applicable, information from the Board is circulated to all staff and students.
Matters requiring higher level decisions are referred to College Board through Dean by the Head of Department. Where applicable, College Board’s decisions/recommendations are communicated to the Vice-Chancellor or University Administration.
Courses/Subjects Offered in FUAM Pre-Degree Programme
